Just in time for Easter weekend, here is the full tour of my upstairs spring decor, enjoy!
Dining Room
When we have people over for Easter, it is usually around 15-20 people and has to be buffet style. I would love to be able to do fun tablescapes, but my extended family is too big. It is probably a good thing; all I need to start is a dinnerware collecting problem!
Since family gatherings are typically buffet style I tend to only add a centerpiece to the dining room table. This year, I switched the table runner to a bright yellow runner I had from Pottery Barn and kept the tablescape simple with a centerpiece of candles.
Kitchen
Spring fever has hit me hard in a flower purchasing craze. I won’t be able to plant flowers outside until the middle of May, so until then I have been filling my home with some floral bouquets.
The bulb flowers seem to be everywhere this year! They are great for stretching the life of fresh flowers. I found this arrangement at my local grocery store complete with the moss basket! The different bulb types have been blooming at different times creating a long-lasting and fragrant floral arrangement for spring!
The copper leafed robin eggs created with real egg shells last year, stored very well. They look great still in this year’s display! Follow the link below to learn how to create your own to use year to year.

Living Room
As I had mentioned in the Instant Refresh Spring 2019 post, my spring color palette was created from this Home Goods pillow I had found this winter.
It is such a bright and cheery color combination perfect for welcoming spring!

I moved the rug that was in the living room into the entryway. And placed this newly purchased black and white rug into the living room. I am in LOVE with this pattern from Ballard Designs! I also purchased the coordinating runner that I added to the kitchen.
Indoor/outdoor runners are great for adding soft texture to your kitchen without the worries on how to clean them. Throw the rugs outside, give them a little scrub with soap and water, hose it off, and allow it to dry in the sun. The price point on the rugs is very reasonable for the quality.
No, this is not an ad for the Ballard Design rugs. I have been a huge fan of them for years and own several now. Great designs, easy maintenance, and affordably priced, a winning combination in my design book!
Here is a quick and simple spring decor item.
- Take a twig basket, insert faux floral stems into the exterior of the basket.
- Fill the basket with paper grass.
- Top the grass with faux eggs.
Tulips definitely have a shorter life cycle but are they ever pretty and a great representation of spring!
That is the end of my spring home tour, I hope you enjoyed it and have lots of new inspiration and ideas on how to decorate your home for spring!
