Are you looking for a tasty Bloody Mary recipe, look no further! One of my good friends, Jeff, who makes the best Bloody Mary’s was willing to teach me his secrets. I, of course, documented it so I could share it with you! Continue reading as I share his secrets with you.
GATHER THE INGREDIENTS
- Vodka – Regular or Flavored
- Clamato Juice
- Zing Zang Bloody Mary Mix
- V8 Bloody Mary Mix or V8 Juice
- Angostura Aromatic Bitters
- Worcestershire or Steak Sauce
- Fresh Limes – Cut into wedges
- Jar of Pepperoncini Peppers
- Tabasco Sauce
- Celery Salt
ADD ICE + VODKA
Fill your glass with ice. Add 3 oz of vodka, a slow three count. You can use regular vodka or play around with different flavors. I like cucumber, black pepper, and bacon flavored vodka for Bloody Marys.
ADD BITTERS + WORCESTERSHIRE SAUCE + FRESH LIME JUICE
Add a couple of dashes of Angostura Aromatic Bitters.
Add a couple of dashes of Worcestershire or steak sauce. Squeeze the juice of one lime wedge into the glass.
ADD PEPPERONCINI JUICE
Add a good splash of pepperoncini juice.
ADD TABASCO SAUCE
Add a couple of dashes of Tabasco sauce, more or less depending on the desired spice level.
ADD CELERY SALT
Add a heavy sprinkling of celery salt.
FILL 2/3 WITH ZING ZANG BLOODY MARY MIX
Fill your glass until it is two-thirds full with Zing Zang Bloody Mary Mix.
ADD V8 BLOODY MARY MIX + CLAMATO JUICE
With the remaining one-third left in the glass, you want to split the difference between the V8 Bloody Mary Mix and Clamato juice. Make sure to leave some room at the top for the garnishments.
STIR INGREDIENTS TOGETHER
Give all the ingredients a good stir. Better yet, mix with a cocktail shaker or pour back and forth into another glass to thoroughly combine all ingredients.
PREP YOUR GARNISHMENTS
The fun of Bloody Marys are all the little food bites that you can add to the drink, creating a small meal in each glass. You can make a platter of garnishments where your guests can serve themselves, or you can put the garnishments on a toothpick or skewer and place on top of Bloody Mary.
Here is a list of options that you can use, pick your favorites.
- Queen Green Olives Stuffed or Regular
- Celery Stalks
- Pickles
- Pickled Vegetables: Asparagus, Brussel Sprouts, or Green Beans
- Summer Sausage or Beef Sticks
- Cherry Tomatoes
- Pepperoncini Peppers
- Cheese
- Candied Bacon
- Shrimp
